1. "Salt and Light" ministry
with the Rajska Zahrada Church Plant: (Ritch Trca, Pavel
Trefny)
WHEN: June 20-30
WHAT: During the last week of school we'd like to "be
salt and light" among the 24,000 people living within
the neighborhood where we are planting a church. Ministries
in particular would be: teaching English in schools in mornings;
afternoon work/sports projects in the neighborhood (painting,
minor repairs in schools, playgrounds, games with youth);
and evening programs at a cultural center in the neighborhood
(showing pictures of where you come from; music evenings
(if anyone of you plays!); English discussion evenings for
youth and adults), and Prayer Walks through the neighborhood.
Contacts with people will provide good "advertising"
for English camp in August.
WHO IS NEEDED: minimum of four people, with vigor and willingness
to serve, among youth, in various ways described above
2. Outreach English Camp with the Rajska Zahrada Church
Plant: (Ritch Trca, Pavel Trefny)
WHEN: August 6-19
WHAT: Will be our 4th annual English camp, ministering
to youth (ages 14-19) from the Rajska Zahrada church plant
where we are planting a church. Ministry is focused upon
using your God-given ability to speak English, and through
this to build relationships with the people at the camp
through discussion groups, sports, and those unplanned-for
times that God gives you the opportunity to share about
your love for Jesus.
WHO IS NEEDED: minimum 6, optimum 8 native English-speakers
who are willing to talk... as well as lead some English-learning
times. Materials are provided by ReachGlobal (Free Church
Mission), as well as come from materials the Rajska Zahrada
church plant will provide. People willing to connect with
youth through games, sports, afternoon workshops (ie:
"Cooking, drawing, beading classes, anyone?"),
and informal conversations about your life in America,
and your life as a follower of Jesus.
3. Evening English Classes/Family Ministry with the
Vlasim Church Plant: (Tom Becker, Jan Lukl)
WHEN: July/August, to-be-determined
WHAT: The Vlasim church plant will be ministering to families
through the medium of evening English conversation courses,
in conjunction with some day-trips to local sites around
Vlasim. The goal is utilizing English as a way to form
contacts and cultivate relationships among people in this
town of 14,000 people.
WHO IS NEEDED: 6+ individuals who are willing to speak
English, and demonstrate and talk about the love of Jesus
that they have experienced through a personal relationship
with Him.
4. Outreach English Camp with Vinohrady Youth Group
WHEN: July 3-15
WHAT: In conjunction with a well-functioning youth group
from the Prague, Vinohrady Church, an Outreach English
Camp ministering to the unbelieving youth who attend the
present youth group, or entirely new contacts from their
neighborhood in Prague. Materials would be provided by
the Vinohrady youth group. The American team would be
asked to provide English teaching during the days, and
cultivate relationships with the young people at the camp.
WHO IS NEEDED: 8+ individuals willing to prepare for and
speak English with these 14-19 year-olders, for whom many
have never heard a clear presentation of the Good News
of Jesus.
I am contacting you who have personally expressed interest
to me in ministering alongside us as ReachGlobal (Free
Church) missionaries and the churches in which we minister
in our desire to share the Good News among Czechs. Each
of these opportunities already have on-going ministries
that will be able to follow-up on the "fruit"
that God provides in the lives of those unbelieving Czechs
who participate. In short, these really are key ministries
for us! We would ask that you would prayerfully consider
how God might lead you to join us in watering, cultivating,
and harvesting in the Czech fields this upcoming summer...
