emails may occasionally wonder how people respond to our invitations. Six
weeks ago, I wrote about an urgent construction need in the Philippines.
Fours weeks ago I wrote about another team needed in East Asia. Both of
these teams filled within a couple of weeks! These teams will both be on
location during November.
In case you need a bit longer timeframe for planning, or were not available for those fall teams, we are beginning to organize a winter team from January 24-February 14 to serve in Kenya. This project is located in the Kenyan capital of Nairobi. It is a three-story administrative center located on the campus of Bible Translation and Literacy (BTL) of Kenya. This facility will be used by several Wycliffe and SIL partner organizations supporting translation throughout Africa. The main structure and roof are in place. There is a lot of work still needed to completely enclose the building and begin finishing the interior. The team will be hosted by Eric and Tracey Hagman and led by Josh Cadd, Wycliffe Associates staff members living in Nairobi. We can use all types of construction skills as well as handy helpers. Please bring your spouse along as well. Housing will be in the BTL guest facilities at the project location. Team members will fly to Nairobi via Europe. Opportunities for additional travel in Europe or a short safari in Kenya will be available following the project.
