This past year around 500 volunteers came to Orlando to support Bible translation with their time, energy, and experience. In recent years, we've invested heavily in physical infrastructure here in Orlando so that these volunteers, and more, will have places to stay, to meet, and to serve effectively.

But as important as the physical infrastructure is, the more important investment needed for volunteers to serve effectively is in leaders.

As our winter volunteer season gives way to spring, we have four high-priority leadership roles to fill in the coming months:

• Program manager – This person provides leadership for all of the Wycliffe Associates activities specific to Orlando, maximizing the effectiveness of 500+ volunteers serving here throughout the year. This takes place through a team that includes the following roles (among others).
• Site volunteer coordinator – This person serves as the primary liaison between Wycliffe Associates and Wycliffe USA, working to identify and facilitate the effective involvement of volunteers and work teams here in Orlando.
• Volunteer placement coordinator – This person works closely with the Orlando site volunteer coordinator to properly evaluate and place volunteers into the most effective positions possible based on their gifting, training, and experience.
• Volunteer Mobilization Center facilities manager – The Orlando facilities manager will ensure that our building is functioning properly and that all systems are maintained and serviced on schedule. This person will work with and supervise volunteers in the ongoing maintenance and repair of our new building.

In recent years, we've been blessed with good leadership in these roles. In fact, these openings have come about because the prior leaders have taken on new leadership roles.
