SEND CPA Opportunity

WHO: Evangelical Christian Academy

WHAT: We need to have a CPA (or equalivaent) that would be willing to come over and do an independent financial audit of our school financial records and accounts.

WHY: We need to have this done for two primary reasons:

1.) In order for us to become accredited we must have " a financial review as the minimum as documentation acceptable at the time of accreditation." I don't think this is as formal (or as expensive) as a full financial audit...but for accreditation this would suffice.

2.) However, we soon hope to begin to approach some foundations about some larger fund-raising projects, but foundations require an audited statement to ensure that the finances are in order. So the full audit may actually be necessary.

WHEN: We would like to have the audit done sometime between now and the end of summer if possible, but no later than the end of 2008.

HOW: THIS is where I need YOUR help!! Based on preliminary information, we have been told that it will cost between $5,000 and $10,000 to have this done...and for our small operation, that is just a significant part of our budget! My thought is that SURELY there would be someone qualified out there, who might be willing to do this service for a fraction of this cost??

Therefore, I wanted to ask you to brainstorm your contacts to see if you could think of any brothers/sisters in the Lord who might like to take this on as a MINISTRY or a MISSION TRIP, provided we pay for the airfare and food/lodging while they are with us (unless they want to cover that too!).
