Most recent update:
Greetings Everyone!
I just wanted to get this into your hands before Judy
and I leave for Minneapolis tomorrow morning and a campus
visit at Northwestern College!
I returned from two missions conferences both at Frontier
School of the Bible in LaGrange, Wyoming and Northwestern
College in Orange City, Iowa!
The former director of Send International Dr. Frank Severn
was the conference speaker at Frontier and after his last
message on Friday gave an invitation for students to commit
themselves to missions and of the 225 students 170 came
up front for prayer and to give themselves to Missions.
The other missions reps, teachers and other staff,
guests and visiting pastors all where speechless! This
has never happened before that such a large group would
commit themselves to the Lord to go out and serve Him
in the future! What an outpouring of the Spirit and I
get Goosebumps right now just thinking about this again!
During my visit at Northwestern in Orange City I had
invited the couple that leads the Send Alaska summer missionary
program (SMP) and they joined me on campus for two days.
Two years ago I had one single girl go and serve all
summer in a village called Hooper Bay on the western slopes
of Alaska. Last year she returned taking five other students
with her and again all had a great ministry. I am happy
to tell you that from that two teams are forming returning
to Alaska next summer for ministries in two locations
doubling the ministries and reaching other villages with
the Gospel! What a joy to see all this coming together.
I will be saying more about this in our upcoming Christmas
letter!
I just spoke with the builder that will be redoing our
collapsed basement and I am happy to tell you that, Lord
willing, he will start December 19 with jacking up the
house and cleaning everything out below us before putting
a drainage system under the new floor, setting the new
footings in and either pouring a new insulated walls or
set block walls up. We have been waiting a long time to
get that news and are looking forward to have a safe foundation
under us.
Judys hand is much better now but she does not
have full use of it when lifting heavy things. We will
need to watch that wrist for a while to see if anything
will return that may cause infections, but so far it has
not!
Thanks so much for praying us through this time.
Bless you all,
Martin & Judy Kolczyk
