Dear Praying Friends,
Thank you praying. We continue to wait on the Lord
for the future. In our last email, we asked for
prayer that I would find a job locally, and though
I have been able to apply in several locations,
nothing has turned into an offer for employment.
There are currently three job possibilities in the
area that we are waiting to hear back on. Any of
the three would be a good transition job as we move
from the known in Brazil to what the Lord has for
us next. We began our one-year leave of absence
from Wycliffe in September and will be able to receive
gifts through Wycliffe through November. We are
thankful that the Lord is meeting our daily needs
and know that He will be faithful as we move forward.
Pray for patience for us as we wait. Pray that the
Lord would continue to teach us good things about
Himself and His desires for us.
It is good to be here by our home church during
this time. Megan, Isaac, Lucas, and I are participating
in a Christmas program at church, "The Gospel
According to Scrooge". We have practice each
Sunday for the next 8 weeks. This is a production
our church does every other year at Christmas as
a ministry to the community. We have seen the performance
a couple of times years ago, but have not had the
chance to be a part of it before now.
The kids are doing well overall in public school,
though there are some things they really miss about
school in Brazil and homeschooling last year. Megan
has been running in cross-country and has just two
meets left this week. We are amazed at how school
(and the activities surrounding it) can be so consuming.
We are having to really work at not getting so busy
that we do not have good family time at home.
We hope to write soon, letting you know about a
job the Lord has provided!
