Hello Fellow Workers for HIS Kingdom:

We have 3 things to share with you today.

1. We had 2 GREAT Bible Quizzes this past weekend. The young people encouraged and convicted ALL of us when we saw how hard they have studied God’s word. We have had NEW clubs participating this year. We have had 1 person teams getting first place. We have had times where there has been a fraction of a point between first and second place. We have seen the size of one quiz location grow again this year. We have seen the NEW quiz location (although small) going to be held in South West Iowa. We look forward to the other quizzes coming up in Iowa!

2. It is with a heavy heart that we have to tell you ALL that the IOWA Awana NIGHT at the Iowa Cubs game is a thing of the past. Awana’s legal department has set a new set of rules for EVENTS that can be associated with “Awana” and because of these new procedures we can do longer do the IOWA Awana Night at the Cubs ball game. You as a local church can order 100 tickets and get a good price… (order 500 tickets and you get a better price). We pray a few churches go together and still use this as a FAMILY night out with their church. We know of one church in Des Moines that has rented out almost the whole stadium as an outreach (and family night) for their mission field. We have enjoyed this event in the past AND THE AWANA EMPLOYEES THAT HAVE COME TO JOIN US ASKED US TO TELL YOU THEY HAVE ALSO ENJOYED COMING TO IOWA EVERY LATE SPRING.

3. It is also with a heavy heart that we have to cancel the Bible quiz scheduled for Muscatine this coming Saturday. We did not have enough churches in the area that chose to use this event as part of their ministry.
